An array of restored coffin plates of the earls of Burlington were unveiled today at All Saints' Church, Londesborough. The event included speeches from Mrs Ashwin, owner of the site of Londesborough Hall, and lectures by David Neave (with readings by Susan Neave) and John Wilton-Ely. We were also treated to an organ recital of pieces by Handel. The restoration work was in part funded by the Georgian Society for East Yorkshire and the York Georgian Society.

Refreshments were served in the Reading Room and the site of Londesborough Hall was opened to visitors.
